There is probably only one reason why you would want to take apart your Linksys wireless router - you have bricked it due to a bad firmware flash (or something very similar).
I decided to write some instructions to go with my other article on unbricking the V5. I noticed, looking at the stats for this site, that the majority of visits were for this post. As I said in that article, I could not find (at that time) any info on how to fixed a bricked V5.
These instructions will not only apply for the V5, but the earlier Linksys wireless routers as well.

Here are some very handy tips in preparation for passing Cisco 640801 CCNA test, arguably one of the harder tests to do in the beginning of your Cisco career.
I have done the test 3 times. The first time was quite easy. There was no switching, ISDN questions were a plenty, as were questions on IPX even (it WAS a few years ago). I hated questions on the OSI model though. I know the 7 layers back to front, but come exam time I had a mental blank.
Anyway, this is what I believe are essential tips to pass the test - first time:

Here’s a better way to find what exactly you are after on the net, using Google and a decent social bookmarking site (like digg.com).
Let’s say you are after a backup utility for firefox. Yes I know you could go and look through the Mozilla plugin pages, but you want to find something that is good (ie tested by many others).
in Google, type in site:digg.com “firefox backup”
The first result (especially in this example) is normally the best. And even more so with digg.com because it would of been ‘dugg’ by a lot of users. Try it yourself!

Unfortunately you won’t know how valuable it is until you lose your data and don’t have a backup to restore from. I have been lucky as I have not lost data, but always keep multiple backups of my critical data just in case I have failures of any kind.
BUT, do your backups actually work? Have you ever tried to restore from your backups? You certainly don’t want to wait until your data fails, then try and restore from your backup and then find out the supposed ‘backup’ never really worked.

Unfortunately there isn’t enough hours in the day to blog it all, but I make sure I blog about any obscure problems, or fixes that I have spent hours researching so I do’t have to go looking again should I come across them again.
A handy forum to bookmark for PC related problems is http://www.itsallpc.co.uk/desktop-computer-forum/.
Maybe you can find the solution to your problem - if I don’t have it here ![]()
