There are heaps of blog directories out there. Some better than others, and I guess it also depends on the theme of your site.

Known as the ‘Directory of Blog Directories’, Blog Skinny is relatively new compared to the other blog directories on the net, but is quickly gaining in popularity and number of links.

I like the layout – mainly because it is a little bit different to all the others, and I do get a bit of traffic referred from them . I thought that that the traffic would die off after I first signed up and started getting the initial run of hits, but I regularly get traffic from them.

Your website gets rated by other ‘skinny’ users, and you can look at your stats in real time. Best thing is that it’s free!

Check out the Directory of Blog Directories here.

There are many Content Management System (CMS) products out there – Drupal, Geeklog, PHP Nuke, Siteframe, Xoops, Joomla, Mambo and of course WordPress. And even more than you could even begin to imagine (I’ll show how many in a minute).

But which one is the best for you? How do you compare all the features side-by-side?

I have found a website that does exactly that. The CMS Matrix allows you to select multiple products and compare the features against each other. As I said earlier, there are lots of CMS tools, and I was surprised on the size of the list. It’s good to see what features the other tools have too.
Certainly a site to bookmark.
